  • Position Profile

    Position Summary: 

    Overall management accounting responsibility over our Newton, KS Plant Operations. In this role you are on the "ground floor" of operations! We do as much or more business activities than we do pushing numbers around. 

     

    Accountabilities: 

    • Prepare and analyze monthly financial measures
    • Track and report key performance measures for operation
    • Oversee accounts payable for plant invoices including troubleshooting
    • Develop annual operational budgets and monthly forecasts with plant management
    • Analyze plant hourly bonus incentive plan
    • Manage annual physical inventory process.  Benchmark best practices between operations
    • Conduct fixed asset audits and post completion audits
    • Support and analyze CI projects and reported savings
    • Assist with Capital Expenditure Requests for financial review and preparation
    • Review cost analyses for ECNs and new product introduction.

     

    Knowledge Skills and Experience: 

    • Proficient in Excel/Microsoft Office  
    • Strong organization and communication skills
    • Strong analytical skill set
    • Ability to interact with all levels of management
    • Strong leadership skills
    • Willingness to get involved in the details of operation
    • ERP/Access/Hyperion application experience is helpful
    • 3 plus years accounting experience in a manufacturing environment preferred

       

    Education: 

    B.S. Degree in Accounting Finance or related field.  CMA/CPA/MBA preferred
